Ithan PTO

This committee works with the Ithan art teacher to plan the annual "Arts Night" in April.  Committee members hang artwork, plan the logistics of the evening.

This committee runs a weeklong book fair at Ithan in the fall.

This committee coordinates activities and collections for those in need in our community.

Chair: Jacquie Fernandez 

This committee arranges for for diverse cultural arts programming during school hours throughout the year.  Examples include special assemblies, author visits, and residencies.

This committee plans events each year that focus on diversity & belonging, including Chalk the Walk, a celebratory event where families shower the school with welcoming messages of belonging and inclusion.  DEI also plans an in-school assembly and celebrates two diverse awareness months each year.

This committee coordinates several family-oriented evenings throughout the school year, such as Trunk or Treat and Bingo Night.

This committee assists with the annual field day, which is a sporting events day held during the school day in the fall.

This committee runs a publishing operation assisting every child at Ithan in publishing a book.

Chairs:  Lynn Malik and Amanda Bennett 

This committee assists with planning and organizing events celebrating the cultural diversity of Ithan, primarily through International Week. 

This committee hosts an annual pizza party for new students in grades 1-5.  Starting in 2024-25, the committee is looking to expand it's reach through initiatives designed to welcome all new families to Ithan.

This committee promotes good nutrition in school through lunch tastings and lunch tastings of new foods.

This committee arranges two annual picnics:  the welcome-back picnic in September and the end of year picnic in June.

This committee oversees the annual science fair (in February or March) by organizing the submissions, setting up, and tearing down the fair.

Volunteers organize teacher appreciation week in May.

This committee sets up light snacks for PTO meetings.  This committee also arranges for the students to have snacks during PSSAs and on Yellow Day.
